Cyber Café Site Manager

Position: Site Manager for informal, friendly community technology center w/free Internet and e-mail (especially for those without technology access); serves all, including business and professional persons. Position requires exceptional interpersonal skills that respect and welcome patrons of diverse backgrounds, ages, abilities and health issues, economic levels, etc., w/particular understanding of the issues they may face; ability to provide basic instruction in accessing Internet, using e-mail, various software applications, etc.; sufficient technical skills to troubleshoot minor hard- and software problems; supervisory/management skills to oversee staff/volunteers and day-to-day operations; and administrative skills to collect data, formulate reports, assist in program development, and attend meetings as required.

Salary: $12,000 per year + fringe benefits

(pro-rated: health/dental insurance; short-term disability and life insurance; 125 flexible spending account; vacation, sick, personal, and holiday time)

This position is funded through a U.S. Department of Education grant.
